OWWA Scholarship 2026–2027 Online Application
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is now accepting applications for its scholarship programs for the school year 2026–2027.
OWWA announced the opening of applications for the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) and the Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP) through its official Facebook page.
OWWA Scholarship Overview
OWWA aims to support the dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) by providing financial assistance for their education. The scholarships available for OFW dependents include:
- Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
- Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP)
- OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)
Currently, OWWA is accepting applications for the EDSP and CMWSP programs for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
Who Can Apply?
Children or siblings of active OWWA members
Qualifications:
- Must be single
- Must not be more than 21 years old upon application
- Must be a Grade 12 graduating student
- General Weighted Average (GWA) must be at least 80%, with no failing grade
- Must be willing to enroll in any four or five-year baccalaureate course in a Philippine-based college or university
Scholarship Benefits:
₱60,000.00 per academic year until completion of the chosen program
Requirements:
Proof of Identity:
- OFW: Copy of valid passport (bio/info page)
- Dependent: Valid school I.D. or any valid I.D., birth certificate or baptismal certificate
Proof of Grades:
- Report card or certificate showing latest GWA (at least 80%)
- Grades from SY 2025–2026 or SY 2024–2025 are acceptable for initial submission
- 2×2 ID picture (white background, may name tag at signature)
Note: Final documents must be submitted upon confirmation by the OWWA Regional Welfare Office (RWO).

Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP)
Who Can Apply?
- The OFW himself/herself
- The child or sibling of a single or married but childless OFW who is an active OWWA member
Qualifications:
- Must not be more than 21 years old upon application
- Must have an annual family income not more than USD 2,400.00 or its equivalent
- General Weighted Average (GWA) must be at least 80%, with no failing grade
- Must be willing to enroll in courses under Science and Technology in any Philippine-based college or university
Scholarship Benefits:
₱60,000.00 per academic year until completion of the 4–5 year course
Requirements:
Proof of Identity:

Magandang araw po. Ako po ay taos-pusong humihiling ng pagkakataong makapag-avail ng inyong scholarship program. Ako po ay mula sa isang simpleng pamilya at lumaki sa hirap ng buhay. Single parent po ang aking ina, at siya lamang ang nagsusumikap upang matustusan ang aming pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan. Sa kabila ng mga hamon, patuloy po akong nagsisikap sa aking pag-aaral dahil naniniwala akong ito ang tanging paraan upang makapagbigay ng mas magandang kinabukasan para sa aming pamilya.
Ang pagkakaloob po ng scholarship na ito ay magiging napakalaking tulong hindi lamang para sa aking pag-aaral kundi pati na rin sa pagpapagaan ng pasanin ng aking ina. Sisiguraduhin ko pong hindi masasayang ang tiwalang inyong ibibigay. Maraming salamat po sa pagbibigay pag-asa sa mga kabataang katulad ko.
